In order for Electroluminescent wire to glow, it needs power and an inverter. This is not a power source. The 12v Sound Activated Inverter will provide the necessary frequency to the EL Wire to make it glow, up to 30 feet. This unit requires a 12v input (such as Electric Optics AC Adapter), which will plug directly into any Electric Optics 12V Inverter which provides constant power from any standard US Outlet (110V).
We Recommend the AC Adapter from Electric Optics for best results.
